## Why it matters

TEI's Annual Conference restricts attendance to in-house tax professionals: private-practice lawyers, accountants, consultants and government employees are explicitly ineligible to attend. That eligibility rule keeps the room limited to corporate tax executives rather than the advisors who sell to them, unlike most CPA-society tax conferences.
