# 5 best Satago alternatives in 2026

Satago combines credit control, credit risk insight and invoice finance in one product. These five tools replace the credit control side, and each one fits a different business.

**The main Satago alternatives are Paidnice, Chaser, in2 collect, Kolleno and Upflow, and none of the five lends against invoices. Paidnice fits a business that wants late fees per customer group. Chaser fits a UK team that wants Creditsafe checks and multi-channel chasing. in2 collect fits a UK SME that wants AI chasing and Companies House risk scores. Kolleno fits an AR team that needs cash application. Upflow fits a team that wants collections analytics.**

**In short**

- Satago costs £45, £80 or £200 a month and bundles credit reports, chasing and optional invoice finance.
- The alternatives replace the chasing and, in some cases, the credit data. None of them lends against invoices.
- Published entry prices run from £49 a month (Paidnice) to £199 (Chaser); Kolleno charges per user and Upflow quotes only.

## Why do businesses look for a Satago alternative?

Businesses look for a Satago alternative for one of three reasons, because Satago sells automated payment chasing, credit risk insight and invoice finance together. They want more chasing channels or late fees than Satago's tiers include. They want a credit data source other than Satago's credit reports. Or they do not use the invoice finance and want to pay only for credit control.

Satago is still sold by its parent, TruFin plc. In July 2024 Lloyds Bank gave notice to end its commercial agreement with Satago, which had offered Satago to Lloyds invoice finance customers. Satago continues to serve its users.

## How do Satago and its five alternatives compare?

Satago is the only one of the six tools that offers invoice finance, and entry prices run from £45 a month (Satago) to $650 per user a month (Kolleno), with Upflow quote only.

## What does each Satago alternative replace?

Each of the five tools below replaces Satago's chasing, and Chaser, in2 collect and Kolleno also replace its credit data. The fit line says which business each one suits.

### Paidnice

**Choose Paidnice if** you use Xero or QuickBooks Online and want reminders, statements, and late fees or interest that differ by customer group and post to the ledger, from £49 a month.

- **Price:** £49 / $69 a month on Essentials for up to 150 invoices a month; Pro from $99 a month for 300 invoices. Priced by invoice volume.
- **Replaces from Satago:** chasing and late fees. Paidnice applies late fees and interest per customer group and posts them to Xero or QuickBooks Online.
- **Credit data:** none found; pair it with a credit bureau if you rely on Satago's credit reports.
- **Limits:** Xero and QuickBooks Online only on the published tiers.

### Chaser

**Choose Chaser if** you are a UK business under £10m turnover and you want Creditsafe credit checks, email, SMS, letters and calls, and a statutory interest charge in one tool, from £199 a month.

- **Price:** £199 a month on Compact (turnover under £4m, 4 users), £599 on Core (under £10m), £899 on Complete (under £100m).
- **Replaces from Satago:** chasing and credit checks. Chaser runs Creditsafe checks and monitoring, which gives a named bureau source.
- **Late fees:** one rule for the whole account, with four calculation types including the Bank of England base rate.
- **Limits:** the price steps with company turnover, and the late fee rule cannot vary by customer group.

### in2 collect

**Choose in2 collect if** you are a UK SME on Xero or NetSuite and you want AI-written chase sequences, a reply and dispute inbox, and customer risk scores built from Companies House data, from £79 a month.

- **Price:** £79 a month on Starter (up to 200 invoices a month), £179 on Growth (unlimited invoices, SMS, one-click pay links, credit scoring, 13-week cash forecast), £349 on Scale. 14-day free trial.
- **Replaces from Satago:** chasing and credit risk. It scores each customer on payment behaviour plus live Companies House data and suggests credit limits.
- **Late fees:** sends statutory interest letters.
- **Limits:** Xero and NetSuite today; Sage and QuickBooks are on its roadmap. Credit scoring starts on the Growth tier.

### Kolleno

**Choose Kolleno if** your AR team is spending its time matching payments to invoices, and you run a larger ledger such as NetSuite, SAP or Sage Intacct, from $650 per user a month.

- **Price:** $650 per user a month on BusinessPay for turnover above $1m; $1,245 per user on Business Plus, minimum two users.
- **Replaces from Satago:** chasing and credit risk, with AI credit scores and bureau integrations. Adds AI cash application that matches payments to invoices.
- **Late fees:** none found in its documentation.
- **Limits:** priced for an AR team, so one user costs more than every Satago tier.

### Upflow

**Choose Upflow if** you want to measure DSO and collection effectiveness across a finance team, you bill through Stripe Billing, Chargebee or Zuora, and you accept a quoted price.

- **Price:** quote only on every tier. The last published prices were $440 a month (Grow) and $880 (Scale). The free Discover tier gives analytics only.
- **Replaces from Satago:** chasing, with deeper analytics: DSO against best possible DSO and a collection effectiveness index.
- **Late fees:** no native late fees; Upflow documents applying them in the ERP.
- **Limits:** no bureau credit data and no published price.

## What if you use Satago for invoice finance?

None of the five Satago alternatives lends against your invoices, so if you use Satago's invoice finance, which advances up to 90% of an invoice's value, you need a separate invoice finance provider, such as your bank or a specialist lender, alongside the credit control tool you choose. Check with the lender whether it connects to your accounting system, because the finance and the chasing will then run in two separate products. Choose Satago if you want credit reports, chasing and invoice finance from one provider, from £45 a month.

## Common questions

### What is the best alternative to Satago?

No single Satago alternative is best for every user, because the fit depends on what you use Satago for. For late fees by customer group, Paidnice fits. For credit checks plus chasing, Chaser (Creditsafe, from £199 a month) and in2 collect (Companies House data, from £79 a month) are the closest. For cash application, Kolleno fits. For analytics, Upflow fits. None of them offers invoice finance.

### How much does Satago cost?

Satago costs £45 a month on Basic, £80 on Premium and £200 on Platinum. Basic includes 25 credit reports and 100 email reminders a month, Premium 100 credit reports, unlimited email and 100 SMS a month, and Platinum unlimited credit reports under fair use, 1,000 SMS a month and an account manager. Invoice finance is priced separately.

### Which Satago alternative is cheapest?

Of the alternatives with a published price, Paidnice's Essentials tier starts at £49 / $69 for up to 150 invoices, Chaser at £199 a month and in2 collect's Starter tier at £79 for up to 200 invoices. For reference, Satago's own Basic tier costs £45 a month.

### Does any Satago alternative offer invoice finance?

No, Paidnice, Chaser, in2 collect, Kolleno and Upflow do not lend against invoices. A business that uses Satago's invoice finance, which advances up to 90% of an invoice's value, needs a separate lender if it moves its credit control to one of these tools.

### Is Satago still available after Lloyds ended its agreement?

Yes, Satago is still available after Lloyds Bank gave notice in July 2024 to end its commercial agreement with Satago. Satago, majority owned by TruFin plc, continues to sell and support its credit control, risk insight and invoice finance products.
