Why it matters
The CIBA Practice Management Conference is the Chartered Institute for Business Accountants' annual practice-focused conference, a two-day blended event that ran on 11 and 12 September 2025: day one in person at the Protea Hotel Fire and Ice, Menlyn, Pretoria and day two online, for 10 CPD units at R1,125 including VAT. The 2025 programme covered pricing, governance and technology, plus a Stakeholder Summit with regulators from CIPC and the FIC, ending with the Practice of the Year Awards.
Who attends
Owners and managers of small and medium accounting and tax practices in South Africa, plus finance managers in commerce; the organiser's brochure lists financial directors, finance executives, chief accountants and treasurers among target roles.
Tickets and opening times
2025 pricing: full price R1,125 including VAT for the in-person and online package, or R680 online only, with early-bird discounts for bookings before 15 August 2025 (organiser brochure). CIBA members access the online stream through their CPD channel. 2027 prices are not published.
