Why it matters

The Southern Federal Tax Institute is a nonprofit, post-graduate level federal tax program now in its 61st year, drawing 600+ tax attorneys, CPAs and advisors to Atlanta each October. It runs five days against most rival tax institutes' two or three, covering partnership tax, estate planning and IRS controversy in one program. Attendees can earn up to 42.5 CPE hours across the full week.

Tickets and opening times

In-person registration is tiered by days attended and booking date. Two-day (Oct 22-23) is USD 795 early, 895 standard, 995 late. Three-day (Oct 19-21 or Oct 21-23) is USD 895 to 1,095. Five-day full institute is USD 1,095 early, 1,195 standard, 1,295 late. Early pricing runs through August 31, standard through September 28, then late pricing applies. Virtual attendees pay the same tier fee plus a USD 100 technology fee. First-time attendees and IRS or government employees get 50 percent off in-person rates; discounts cannot be combined.
