ABN The Bookkeeper Event 2026

Why it matters

The Bookkeeper Event is Australian Bookkeepers Network's national conference for bookkeepers and BAS agents, run every two years and moving to the Sunshine Coast for 2026 after Adelaide in 2024. It runs alongside the annual ICB Australian Bookkeepers Summit as one of the two national gatherings for the profession, with sessions built specifically around BAS agent compliance rather than certified bookkeeping generally. Organisers expect over 300 delegates for more than 15 hours of CPE, with ATO Deputy Commissioner Grant Brodie speaking in 2026.

Who attends

Bookkeepers and BAS agents, many of them Australian Bookkeepers Association members, alongside practice owners assessing AI tools and pricing models for their firms. MYOB, Beam and XOnboard staff also present as sponsor speakers.

Tickets and opening times

Member tickets are AUD 1,375; non-member tickets are AUD 1,775. The ticket covers the Thursday Expo Day from noon, all Friday and Saturday conference sessions, lunches and tea breaks on those two days, one place at the Saturday night dinner and entertainment, and full access to the expo. Accommodation, breakfasts and Friday night dinner are not included. No early-bird rate, group rate or student rate is published, and the organiser does not state whether pricing changed from the 2024 Adelaide edition.
