Why it matters

The Tax Summit is The Tax Institute's flagship conference and Australia's biggest annual tax event, a three-day programme with 70 speakers and 40 sessions at the 2026 edition, worth 20 CPD hours. It alternates between Sydney and Melbourne each September and is the peak body's only national multi-stream convention, with ATO Commissioners among its keynote speakers. Member early-bird registration for the 2025 edition was AUD 1,895 against a AUD 2,490 non-member rate.

Who attends

Tax, law and business practitioners from across the profession, including corporate tax teams, professional practices, lawyers, SME advisers and international tax specialists, from sole practitioners to Big Four teams. The ATO Commissioner addressed the 2023 edition.

Tickets and opening times

2027 pricing is not yet published. At the 2025 edition, member early-bird registration was AUD 1,895 for bookings by 1 August 2025, rising to AUD 2,095 standard, with non-members at AUD 2,490. The 2024 edition charged AUD 2,000 for members and AUD 2,300 for non-members, and the gala dinner was included in full registration.
