Business Central pricing in 2026: license prices, total cost and what changed

Microsoft's list prices for Dynamics 365 Business Central in seven currencies, the November 2025 rise, the cost at three company sizes, implementation, add-ons and what buyers report paying.

Business Central costs $80 a month for each Essentials user, $110 for each Premium user and $8 for each Team Member, at Microsoft’s US list price on an annual commitment. Ten Essentials users cost $9,600 a year. Implementation is the larger cost: $25,000 to $150,000 in ERP Research’s US range.

Old prices still rank

  • $70 and $100 are the old prices. Essentials was $70 and Premium $100 until Microsoft raised them on 1 November 2025. Many partner pages still show the old figures.
  • Current US prices: Essentials $80, Premium $110, Team Members $8, Device $45 per device a month (partner estimate).
  • Microsoft publishes these prices, unlike NetSuite; Sage publishes only a UK starting price for Sage Intacct.

How much does Business Central cost per user?

Business Central costs $80 per user a month for an Essentials user and $110 per user a month for a Premium user in the US, paid yearly. What will Business Central cost your business?

Choose Essentials or Premium, enter your users and pick a project size for your own year-one and three-year range.

Which license do you need, Essentials or Premium?

Essentials covers finance, sales, purchasing, inventory, projects and warehousing. Premium adds manufacturing and service management for $30 more a user a month. Choose by what you make or service, not by company size. The full feature split is in the Business Central license guide.

How much did Business Central prices rise?

Business Central prices rose on 1 November 2025: Essentials from $70 to $80, Premium from $100 to $110 and Device from $40 to $45. Team Members stayed at $8. Microsoft first announced the change for 1 October 2025, then moved it back a month. New subscriptions pay the new prices, and existing ones move to them at their first renewal.

What is free with Business Central?

  • A 30-day trial on Microsoft’s pricing page.
  • External accountant licenses: three free per tenant.
  • Copilot features inside Business Central are included; agents such as the Sales Order Agent and Payables Agent use Copilot Credits, bought pay-as-you-go or in prepaid units.

What costs extra beyond the licenses?

Extra production environments, extra database storage and Copilot Credits are the add-ons most businesses meet as they grow. Microsoft prices the first two; Copilot Credits are sold separately.
