Versapay vs Billtrust (2026): NetSuite, pricing and fit

Two quote-only AR platforms for mid-market and enterprise B2B suppliers, compared on ERP connectors, what buyers report paying, processing fees and review scores.

Versapay and Billtrust both automate accounts receivable for B2B suppliers and both price by quote only. Choose Versapay if you run NetSuite, Sage Intacct or Microsoft Dynamics 365 and want a customer portal with ACH and card payments. Choose Billtrust if your invoices must reach customer AP portals or Peppol, or you run SAP.

In short

  • Choose Versapay for collections, a shared customer portal and B2B payments, with native NetSuite, Sage Intacct and Dynamics 365 integrations.
  • Choose Billtrust for invoice delivery into 260+ AP portals, e-invoicing, credit risk scoring and certified SAP connectivity.
  • Price: neither publishes one. ERP Research reports $50,000 to $150,000+ a year for Versapay and $20,000 to $60,000 for Billtrust, plus processing fees.
  • Ratings: Billtrust has 4.4 from 510 G2 reviews, Versapay 4.1 from 95.

You have two demos booked and two websites that say "talk to an expert". Versapay names Laticrete and TireHub as customers, and Billtrust names Staples and United Rentals. Neither shows a price, and Versapay’s own comparison page is the one most buyers find first. This page puts the facts each vendor documents next to what third parties report.

Which one fits your business?

Versapay fits a mid-market supplier that wants its customers to view, query and pay invoices in one portal; Billtrust fits a larger supplier whose invoices must land in customer AP portals.

Which one fits

  • Choose Versapay if you run NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Business Central or Dynamics 365 Finance and you want collections, AI cash application and ACH or card payments in one product. ERP Research also credits Versapay with AutoPay, surcharging and DSO dashboards.
  • Choose Billtrust if your customers want invoices in their own AP portals, by print and mail, or in e-invoicing formats such as Peppol. ERP Research credits Billtrust with credit risk scoring, digital credit applications and certified SAP ECC and S/4HANA connectivity.

Neither vendor states a revenue or invoice floor. Ask each one for its smallest current customer on your ERP before a second call.

How do Versapay and Billtrust compare?

Both cover collections, cash application, a customer portal and payments; the main differences are invoice delivery and credit (Billtrust) and the payment portal and native mid-market ERP connectors (Versapay).

Which ERPs does each connect to?

Versapay lists NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Business Central and Dynamics 365 Finance as native integrations; Billtrust names no ERP on its home page, and third parties list NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Dynamics 365 and Infor.

Versapay rows come from its integrations page. Billtrust rows come from its home page and ERP Research’s comparison. Ask both vendors who maintains the connector and which records it syncs.

How well does each work with NetSuite?

Versapay documents NetSuite on its own pages and runs Oracle’s NetSuite Pay, while Billtrust’s NetSuite connector is documented only by third parties.

Versapay lists Oracle NetSuite as a native integration. It also provides the underwriting and merchant service behind NetSuite Pay, Oracle’s card and ACH product, which is available in the United States and Canada only. Setup means installing the NetSuite Pay SuiteApp and passing a Versapay merchant application. Versapay markets its NetSuite payments product as Built for NetSuite.

Billtrust says it has 200+ connectors but names none on its home page. ERP Research and software directories list NetSuite among its connectors, and some describe a SuiteApp. Ask Billtrust to name the NetSuite connector, who builds it, and how often it syncs payments and invoice status.

For either vendor on NetSuite OneWorld, ask for a direct answer on multi-subsidiary support. For the ledger side, see NetSuite OneWorld pricing and SuiteApp or external AR app.

How much does Versapay cost?

Versapay publishes no price and quotes by invoice volume; ERP Research reports $50,000 to $150,000+ a year, and Vendr search results show a median near $8,095.

VersapayNo published price; versapay.com has no pricing page

The ranges differ by more than ten times. ERP Research describes a full AR and payments rollout. The Vendr figures rest on six purchases that may cover single modules. Payment processing comes on top of the subscription, so ask for the rates at your card and ACH mix.

How much does Billtrust cost?

Billtrust publishes no price; ERP Research reports buyer figures of $20,000 to $60,000 a year, rising with invoice volume, plus payment processing.

What do reviewers say?

Billtrust has more reviews on G2 and Gartner, and Versapay scores slightly higher on Gartner; on Capterra both rest on about 30 reviews.

G2 and Gartner figures come from search results because both sites blocked page loads; open each link for the current score. Gartner shows Versapay at 4.5 on one comparison page. Gartner also hosts a Billtrust Unified AR vs Versapay Collaborative AR comparison.

Versapay’s Gartner score rests on 19 reviews, so a few reviews move it. Read reviews from companies on your ERP and at your invoice volume before you weigh the stars.

Who owns Versapay and Billtrust?

Both are private equity owned: Versapay by Great Hill Partners since 2020 and Billtrust by EQT since 2022.

  • Versapay: Great Hill Partners bought Versapay in February 2020, when it was listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange. Its website footer names "Solupay Consulting, LLC, d/b/a Versapay". Carey O’Connor Kolaja has been CEO since March 2023.
  • Billtrust: EQT bought Billtrust in an all-cash deal worth about $1.7 billion. Shareholders approved it on December 13, 2022, and the company left Nasdaq (Business Wire). Billtrust has since bought iController in Belgium and Order2Cash in the Netherlands.

Ask each vendor about renewal caps and data export terms before you sign a multi-year contract.

Do Versapay and Billtrust work with NetSuite?

Yes. Versapay lists NetSuite as a native integration and runs NetSuite Pay through a SuiteApp in the US and Canada. Billtrust’s NetSuite connector is listed by ERP Research and software directories but not named on Billtrust’s home page, so ask Billtrust to name it.

Does Versapay work with SAP?

Versapay does not list SAP on its integrations page; it connects other ERPs through its open API or flat files. ERP Research credits Billtrust with certified SAP ECC and S/4HANA connectivity.
