How much does credit control software cost in 2026?

Published prices for credit control and accounts receivable software, taken from each vendor’s own pricing page, with the meter each vendor charges by and the tools that only quote.

Credit control software costs from about £8 a month for a statement-only add-on to £899 a month for a full UK credit control platform. Most small business tools with automated chasing publish prices between £45 and £200 a month. Larger platforms charge per user or by revenue band, and several quote only. What do the price bands buy?

Price follows what the tool does after an invoice goes overdue. A statement add-on sends statements. A credit control tool chases, escalates and often adds late fees. A platform adds cash application, forecasting and team workflows.

How do credit control tools charge?

Vendors use four meters, and the meter decides what you pay as the business grows.

  • By company turnover (Chaser). The price steps up when annual turnover crosses £4m, £10m and £100m, even if the number of invoices stays the same.
  • By invoice volume (Paidnice, in2 collect Starter). The price follows how many invoices you send each month.
  • Per user (Kolleno). Each person on the AR team adds a seat, with a turnover floor on each tier.
  • By quote (Upflow, Invoiced, Tesorio, ezyCollect, CreditorWatch Collect). The vendor sets the price after a sales call, usually by revenue or invoice volume band.

A flat tier with included credits (Satago, Statey) sits between these: the price is fixed, and the tier sets how many credit reports, SMS messages or schedules you get.

How much does credit control software cost for a small business?

A UK small business that wants automated chasing usually pays £45 to £199 a month for the entry tier, as the price table above shows. The meter decides which tool stays cheapest as you grow: a turnover meter rises with revenue, and an invoice meter rises with invoice count. If you only need reminders, the ones built into Xero and QuickBooks Online cost nothing extra.

Is the software worth the price?

Compare the monthly price with the cost of chasing by hand. Research by London Economics for the UK government found that businesses affected by late payment spend on average 86 hours a year of staff time chasing it, and that late payment costs the UK economy almost £11 billion a year.

The other side of the sum is what the software can recover. A UK supplier can claim statutory interest at 8% above the Bank of England base rate under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998. With the base rate at 3.75%, that is 11.75% a year, plus a fixed sum of £40, £70 or £100 per invoice. Tools that add this charge automatically can recover part of their own cost on accounts that pay late.

What costs are not in the headline price?

  • SMS and call credits. Chaser, Satago and Kolleno include a set number of SMS or calls per tier; more messages cost extra.
  • Setup and onboarding. Some enterprise tiers include onboarding hours; others charge for implementation.
  • Payments. Payment add-ons charge transaction fees. Upflow Payments publishes a $390 a month platform fee plus card and ACH fees.
  • Extra entities. Multi-entity support is often a higher tier or a per-entity add-on.
  • Integrations. Kolleno states that integrations, customisations and add-ons may carry extra charges.

Common questions

How much does credit control software cost per month?

Credit control software costs from about £8 a month for a statement add-on such as Statey to £899 a month for Chaser Complete. Most small business tools with automated chasing start between £45 and £199 a month. Platforms for larger AR teams charge per user, such as Kolleno at €650 per user, or quote only.

What is the cheapest credit control software?

The cheapest option is the reminder feature built into Xero or QuickBooks Online, which costs nothing beyond your accounting plan. The cheapest paid tools with automated chasing are Satago at £45 a month and Paidnice at £49 a month. Statey costs £8 a month but sends statements only.

Why do some credit control tools not publish prices?

Tools that sell to mid-market and enterprise finance teams, such as Upflow, Invoiced and Tesorio, price by quote. The quote usually depends on revenue band, invoice volume and integrations. Upflow last published $440 and $880 a month for its Grow and Scale tiers before it moved to quote-only pricing.

Is Xero’s invoice reminder feature free?

Invoice reminders are part of Xero’s invoicing features and cost nothing beyond the Xero subscription. They send scheduled emails before or after the due date. They do not add late fees, send SMS or escalate by customer group, which is the gap that paid credit control tools fill.

Do credit control tools charge by turnover?

Some do. Chaser prices by company turnover, with tiers under £4m, £10m and £100m. Kolleno sets a turnover floor on each per-user tier. Paidnice and in2 collect’s Starter tier charge by invoice volume instead, and Satago and Statey charge a flat monthly fee per tier.
