Is ezyCollect worth it? An honest ezyCollect review

What ezyCollect costs, what you get for the money, what its own help centre says it does not do, and which businesses get their money’s worth.

ezyCollect is worth it for an Australian or New Zealand trade business with hundreds of active debtors, a credit team, and an ERP such as MYOB, Pronto Xi or SAP Business One. Its entry plan was last published at A$275 a month on annual billing with a setup fee from A$900. ezyCollect now hides its prices, so you must request a quote.

It is hard to justify for a small business on Xero with few late invoices. The first year on the entry plan was about A$4,200 before SMS, letters and the payment gateway, and the product charges no late fee or interest.

In short

  • Price: last published at A$275, A$950 and A$2,350 a month on annual billing, set by active debtors. Prices are now hidden and must be requested.

  • Trial: 14 days free once you connect your accounting software, with no card.
  • Main limits: annual plans have no refund on early cancel, SMS, mail and fax cost extra, and there is no late fee or interest.
  • Alternative: Paidnice from A$99 a month, priced by invoice volume.

Is ezyCollect worth it? The short verdict

ezyCollect is a mature Australian tool. It started in 2014, Sidetrade bought it in October 2025, and it connects to more Australian ERPs than most tools in this category. Its users rate it highly, although the review counts are small.

The question is fit. The table shows when the price makes sense and when it does not.

Every plan chases at customer level. The higher plans add debtors, users and workflows.

  • Escalation. Demand letters and a referral to a partner debt collection agency, both run by a third party with its own fees.
  • Integrations. Xero, MYOB AccountRight, Exo and Essentials, Acumatica, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Sage 300, Sage Intacct, SAP Business One, Pronto Xi, Attaché, JCurve, ABM and Wiise, plus a CSV route for a custom ERP.

ezyCollect also sells an AI email template generator as a paid add-on. Its Aimie collections AI and its Business Intelligence product are in early access, so they are not part of what you buy today.

What do ezyCollect’s users say?

ezyCollect’s ratings are high on all three sites that publish them. The review counts are small, so read each score with its count.

SiteRatingReviews
Xero App Store (Australia)4.9435
G24.725
Capterra4.912

On the Xero App Store, 97% of the reviews give five stars. G2 users report a time to implement of less than one month.

What are ezyCollect’s limits?

ezyCollect’s own pages state these limits. Check each one against how you chase before you buy.

  1. No published price. The pricing page lists no figures. You must request a quote, and the plan depends on your active debtors and staff (ezyCollect pricing page).
  2. An annual plan locks you in. There is no refund if you cancel an annual plan before the term ends, and you cannot move to a monthly plan until the term expires. Setup fees are non-refundable (ezyCollect pricing FAQ).
  3. SMS, mail and fax cost extra. Only email is in the subscription. Unused SMS packs do not carry over to the next month (ezyCollect help centre).
  4. Customers can drop out of the workflow. Customers outside the workflow window do not receive automated follow-ups (ezyCollect help centre).
  5. Credit Insights covers Australia and New Zealand. The help centre says it applies only to Australian and New Zealand business entities. US scores are a separate Creditsafe product (ezyCollect help centre).
  6. No late fee or interest. ezyCollect says late payment penalties are in beta, so you cannot charge a late fee or interest from the product today (ezyCollect blog).
  7. No public API. The help centre documents a payment webhook only, and we found no public API documentation (ezyCollect help centre).

Is ezyCollect worth it for a small business?

For a small business with an Australian ERP and a steady flow of trade accounts, it can be. ezyStart covered 200 active debtors for A$275 a month on the last-published list, and no Xero-first tool connects to Pronto Xi or Attaché.

For a small business on Xero with few late invoices, usually not. ezyStart at A$275 a month is A$3,300 a year, and the setup fee from A$900 takes the first year to about A$4,200 before SMS, letters and the A$90 monthly gateway fee. Start with Xero’s built-in invoice reminders, and move to a paid tool when chasing takes real time each week.
